There is a Soarer site on the internet that promotes changing the ccfl tubes in the emv screen for leds, I can't understand why when there are a multitude of tubes in all shapes and sizes available, some of which are direct replacements for all the tubes used in the Soarer.

The ones I have on record are American but appear to do every size and diameter, these people also do the backlight as used in the emv screen. http://www.ccflwarehouse.com/ccfllamps.html
People like Farnell in this country also sell ccfl's but its a long time since I looked at their catalogue.

Have you thought of trying some coloured heat shrink sleeving, it may be trial and error and you may need more than one cover to get the depth of colour you want.

wow how long ago did i do this repair finally swapped my dashes over , this is why i need to remove my original one

the dreaded bleed but no blinky dash

this is my temp dash to tie me over till i finish the overhaul of my original , bit of a difference in the mileage

as you can see i have fitted the red ccfl which i like but in daylight its not really bright enough for my liking so need to try and find a brighter one , dont no why the rest of the dash looks blurred in the pic when the pic of the other dash looks fine , once i had opened up my original dash it still has all its original components which i find impressive as its not showing any signs of troubles , but going to swap the components out while its apart

Well done young man.
Years ago I did this. The Transistor replacement is not required in my view.

Its the Electrolytic capacitors that failed here
