it's easy, you press buttons on the controller, magic happens, and the car goes up and down.

Controllers are easy to fit, and i believe they work by interfering with the signals being fed back from the height sensors on each wheel to the suspension ECU.

I had a Field DHC which was the absolute dog's, but it died one day so i substituted it for an R-Spec unit which i'm okay with but it's not as easy to use. Which reminds me that its almost time for my annual 'has-anyone-got-a-Field-DHC' for sale thread.

I agree with soarermad in that running your suspension too low WILL bollocks up the rest of your suspension (bearings will wear unevenly etc.) unless you alter the geometry. My V8 doesn't do too many miles these days but i've ran it for ages at about a -30mm setting front and back without any probs. I've left dropping it to the floor for special occasions like MaccyD's carpark on a Saturday night lol.

i insure my soarer and surf through A Plan and they put both of them on 9+ ncb, i also insured the smart car initially and they did the same on that, so it might be worth giving them a try, i have noticed that both my premiums have risen this year but this seems to be an insurance trend.

there is an editorial on fixing the blinky dash syndrome in the editorial section, it would be better to get yours fixed locally if possible as inside the binnicle is a large thin mirror which might not travel very well through the postal system its a pretty straight forward repair, transister and caps available from most electronic component shops, use high temp caps if possible and don't forget to give the whole of the inside a good clean inc mirror its amazing the difference it makes.also you will need a solder sucker..

Checked battery perfect no volts from the alternator, took it out this evening pretty handy to be honest got it tested and its goosed. my neighbour repairs them so happy days, should have it back tomorrow please good. Then its service time and then sort the blinky dash. Only bottom half. Is their anyone on this site that could repair the dash for me if i posted it to them . Or is it handy enough to fix myself if i knew someone good with a soldering iron.

I'm sure i'm not the only one that runs more than one private car and was just wondering how everyone else insures their two-or-more cars? BTW "the trousers", aka the Lady Drac, doesn't drive so its just me behind the wheel.
At the moment i've got two seperate policies for 1 Soarer and 1 MR2 but as i'm the only named driver on each it seems a bit mad to have a million years no-claims on one and only 5 on the other???
In my simple world why can't i have all the cars on one policy and i just pay for the most expensive one as i've only got one arse so can only drive one at a time. Or is that too simple? I've tried the multicar option on admiral et al but it doesn't seems to work out any cheaper. I'm beginning to bore myself now so i'll shut up and listen to what anyone else does.

it might be worth checking the fusable links that are in little plastic boxes in both of the fuse boxes, these are a last resort fuse and usually blow to protect critical circuits. Also have a check around the rear light switch to see if a connector has been disconnected.

took the car back to the garage today and after trying to fob me off by saying that it was not caused by anything they did as the fog light switch is nowhere near the heater controls.... they took the centre consul out and got behind the heater dash part- apparently there is a 12 volt supply to the heater panel but still nothing works- the buttons and heater panel light up but the buttons don't do anything.

They obviously had a surge of some sort to have blown the fuse to the mirrors and radio but the latest issue does not appear to be a fuse-

Any more ideas anyone-another week and I think I will start to need my heater/ demister!
